I find this image both disgusting and disturbing. Young girls have enough pressure from media without an iconic legend leading them to believe that the only way you can be pretty is if you are skinny. The fact that the image is illustrated cutely is just disgusting. The cuteness not only appeals to teenagers and young women, but the younger generation as well. Images like this are a very powerful thing.....
Such an icon as Hello Kitty could be used to promote so many positive things in the world and it saddens me that pro-bulimia and pro-anorexia images such as this could be used to manipulate young girls into questioning their size!!
I guess what I want to say is....
Girls!!
Just because Hello Kitty's face is on it,
doesn't mean that it is right!!
I could put Hello Kitty's face on anything!!
Bulimia/Anorexia is not cool, cute or trendy.
It will not make you pretty,
it will make your skin deathly pale
and darken around your eyes!
It will also make you VERY VERY ILL!!
This picture is not Hello Kitty!!
It is an imposter!! =0
Trying to brainwash you!!
That is all.
Oh, that is sick. :( Not the REAL Hello Kitty, for sure.
ReplyDeleteThis image wasn't even possible for me to think of, and I've thought of some pretty twisted things. Just.. y'knoe.. not cute.
ReplyDeletesick, sick, sick...
ReplyDeleteDoes she drink alcohol? :P
ReplyDeleteLol, I love how it's a hairball though..
ReplyDeleteI'll never look at Hello Kitty the same way again
ReplyDeleteThis is disgusting. Using Hello Kitty to promote eating disorders is pretty sickening to be honest.
ReplyDeleteWow that is jut going overboard. There is definitely nothing pretty or cute about bulimia/anorexia.
ReplyDeleteUgh, this image makes me sick! Hello Kitty is a positive icon and I'm so sick of people finding humor in others' pain! Tons of people suffer from eating disorders (I struggle with it myself) and some twisted jerks just go ahead and judge, label and laugh at them! Some people are so disgusting. >:(
ReplyDeleteWhere do I report this?
